Our first Boeing 737 MAX takes flight

In another step towards our commitment to setting a new standard for North American travel, we’ve introduced a new addition to our fleet: the Boeing 737 MAX. This premium aircraft features a Business cabin configuration and an Economy cabin configuration with Preferred Seats, an in-flight entertainment system available in 15 languages and complimentary to all customers, high-speed Wi-Fi, and more. This is the first of 17 more Boeing 737 MAXs to come in 2018.

To enhance your flight experience, we’re introducing lowered Economy Flex fares for the holidays: Travel between December 20, 2017, and January 7, 2018, on an Economy Flex fare and you’ll receive complimentary advance seat selection, one complimentary checked bag, access to our Maple Leaf Lounge for an additional fee, and more.

Miles that make a difference

Earlier this month, the Air Canada Foundation held its annual Aeroplan Miles Matching Week in support of its Hospital Transportation program. Through the program, the foundation redistributes the Aeroplan Miles donated by Air Canada customers, which are matched by Aeroplan up to 500,000 Miles, to 15 pediatric hospitals across Canada by providing flights for children in need of specialized health care. We are pleased to announce that together with Aeroplan’s matching donation, the foundation gave 1,659,947 Miles to the program.
